Brilliant Ballybunion Goes Wild celebrates food and music in the heart of nature with our community collaborators, guests, artist & author Jennie Moran and music by Katie O Connor.

Square Tomato & ELM films

Inspired by the work of Indian writer and global food activist Dr Vandana Shiva, The Square Tomato exhibition at Siamsa Tire featured new and recent drawings, films and projects by artist Lisa Fingleton in collaboration with Creative Climate Action Project Brilliant Ballybunion and A Creative Imagining/Corca Dhuibhne Inbhunaithe, Kerry Visual Artist in Residence Programme and Navdanya, exploring the interconnections between food, nature, health and climate change. The exhibition was opened by Gemma Tipton (Art Writer / Irish Times Journalist), with Grainne Toomey (Brilliant Ballybunion), Dinny Galvin (Farmer/ Dingle Hub) and Kate Kennelly (KCC Arts Office). The Square Tomato ran from the 1st Feb-22nd March 2025. Grainne Toomey, project leader, read her poem Elm, inspired by the possible end of the Elm trees.

North Kerry Sustainability Day

Lots of news and actions since the big day…. The Ballybunion Nature Group had its first gathering so we will be starting conservation work to protect the Ring Plover and other habitats
